create and capture

The beauty of dying mediums will never lose its appeal to me. Letter writing, libraries, mix CDs. I don’t shoot with film often, but boy when I do, I can just feel the magic. The uncertainty of not knowing what moment you captured. The patience until you click the last frame. The surprise of seeing photos you’d long forgotten you had imagined.

They are never great photos, technically speaking. Grainy and a little out of focus and not enough light or too much. They might be of nothing or the tiniest something and will never mean anything to anyone else. But that is precisely why they actually are – the greatest.
